What we aim for
We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities, and it is what we measure ourselves against.
What we have done
- Text and background colours are checked against the AA contrast standard.
- We have built the site to be operated with a keyboard throughout, including the photo gallery and every dialog, and we test this as we go.
- Dialogs trap focus while open and return it where you left off when closed.
- Every image carries alternative text for screen readers.
- Animations are reduced automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
- A skip link lets you jump straight to the main content.
- We have built page content to stay readable if JavaScript does not load, and we test this as we go.
Where we know we fall short
Accessibility is ongoing rather than finished. We are currently working on completing our Spanish-language experience. We know the form field borders are fainter than they should be, and that text set over the photograph at the top of the home page has not been measured the way the rest of the site has. We would rather tell you that than claim the site is perfect.
Tell us when something does not work
If any part of this site is difficult to use, please call us on 479-220-1554 or email hello@skinclinicsiloam.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it and help you get what you needed in the meantime. We treat these reports as a priority.
